I’ve presented author talks and storytelling workshops to thousands of kids across Australia and even more via Zoom. I would LOVE to present at your school or festival!

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM A MICK ELLIOTT PRESENTATION?

My author talks give young readers and writers a chance to hear all about the process of coming up with stories – for books and even TV shows. We explore the many unexpected places that ideas for stories come from and discover that everyone is a storyteller. I always share the secrets behind my latest books, with tales and anecdotes guaranteed to engage the audience. And of course there is lots of opportunity for questions and sometimes even a prize or two!

I tailor the content for the age of the audience, so let me know what grades I am presenting to, and if there are any particular themes or areas you would like me to focus on.

My illustration workshops encourage everyone to discover the joys of drawing, especially anyone who thinks that they can’t draw. (That makes me so SAD!) I demonstrate how simple it is to create cartoon characters with just a few lines and dots.
